The first question about this company is always, "How did you come up with such a catchy name?" Well, the name is much more than an attention getter. The company exists because of the direction of the Lord, I AM. Every individual is Unique and Special Care is given to each client.

The Case Management is delivered with a standard of excellence, integrity, values, and moral ethics, often going beyond what is routinely expected in home care. While I Am Unique does serve pediatric cases, the client base continues to grow with predominantly adults who are on ventilators with trachs and G-tubes. Most home care companies do not work with the high-tech ventilator clients, or provide the level of ventilator education that I Am Unique makes available to its nursing staff.

I Am Unique believes in, and is committed to, developing the components of education for our nurses in areas essential to providing the highest quality care. Our education modules consist of video training and testing; self study review and examination; as well as "hand's on" ventilator lab instruction on adult and infant manikins. Since we also provide IV Therapy services periodically, a "training arm" has also been added to facilitate IV education.

With quality education as the cornerstone, I Am Unique continues to evolve. The vision of a cooperative will not begin and end with a worker owned and operated company, but rather an organization that embodies a cooperative spirit. Mutual respect between the client, all members of a highly skilled care team, and the sensitivity of the administrative staff must exist in order for our clients to achieve the highest standard of independent function possible.
